I am the baby born in York, Pennsylvania to nurse Barbara and future soldier John…
Who entered this world on Superbowl Sunday, but at 7 in the morning so as to not interrupt the big game…
I am the child who played Barbies and school and GI Joes with my brother
Who loved ice cream and listening to the radio and singing…
Who stored books in my treasure box
Who dreamed of becoming famous and never thought she would settle for less…
I am the teenager who had the world in the palm of her hands but let it slip through her fingers…
Who wore jean and tee-shirts and loved NKOTB and hated the “in” crowd…
Who skipped school and went to New York City and then managed to ace all her classes
Who dreamed of being the next Katie Couric and knew she would never fail
I am the woman who bought her first home
Who loves Jesus and her family and her friends
I am the mother who loves to snuggle with my “babies” and goes crazy if I have to scold them
and whose moments of perfect bliss come when they look at me and utter, “I love you”
I am the telecommuter who loves the TV world and avoids people and who coudn’t imagine doing anything else…
I am the woman who is slightly aloof and talkative and a dork
I am the person who loves to help others and then refuses help for herself (not proud of this…)
I am the woman who still loves going barefoot and jumping in puddles, but never takes the time to do them…
Who still longs to learn her purpose here on earth
I am the person who dreams of a family and hapiness and is grateful for the current friends and family I have
and who hopes that one day, my children think of me the way that I think of my mom and dad…
Until next time…
Heather

I love this. One of the best things (and most insightful) I think you’ve written.
Love ya!
