Oh wait…
There’s no honey… but I am home.
What a trip!
I have a few pictures but I also have an announcement…
Not one disaster the entire trip…
NOT ONE!
Can you believe it? Connie said it was a blessing…but not ONE disaster!
I didn’t forget anything…
I didn’t fall flat on my face…
I didn’t make a butt of myself…
All my clothes matched…
I didn’t get smashed…
I didn’t over sleep…
It just went well…. 
So let me share with you a few pics from the trip…
Now, as you may or may not know, I was there on business from Tuesday through Friday…here’s the office…
It’s a nice office but the road to get there is one that looks like those roads they take you down to dump you and leave you for dead… lol…
And of course, I got my own hotel room…
The room was GREAT! The only downfall was the wake up call of the fire alarm Wednesday morning…lol… but that wasn’t so bad.
I can definately say that I caught up on my sleep while I was gone! I couldn’t believe how tired I was, but that bed was SO comfortable and it was quiet and I didn’t have any responsibilities!
Tuesday and Wednesday night I went out to eat with the peeps from the stations but Thursday, Connie and I went out for that margarita we’ve been talking about for over a year now and dinner! It was great!
Friday after work, Connie came to pick me up for some time at her house with her family! Friday night, Alyssa, Jon, Connie and I went to Cock of the Walk and it was GREAT!
Cock of the Walk means the best of the best and they have two things on their menu… catfish and chicken… I had the catfish and hush puppies…
… oh yeah and fries and slaw and then Connie ordered fried dill pickles…
um yeah, I don’t like pickles… but they were GREAT!!!!
So Cock of the Walk definately was Cock of the walk (best of the best!)
I was asleep early Friday night, but Saturday Connie, Alyssa and I bummed around all day… we eventually went out and then Jon, Connie and I went for Mexican and then home for another margarita…and they were yummie…
We rented the Departed and I fell asleep… and then we got chatty and were up until almost 2….lol
We of course made Jon snap a pic…
This morning she dropped me off at the airport and I made my way home…
I was anxious to get home…
Those are the mountains…they mean I’m home…
My daughter looks like she’s grown 4 inches…
My son gave me the biggest hug…
My dog missed me…
The house is still standing and in the mail was my autographed copy of Confessions of an Irritable Mother which I won at the Ultimate Blog Party
I finished Sisterchicks on the Loose and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series…
I wrote a little on the plane…
But the bottom line is, I’m so glad to be home… (but I can’t wait to see Connie again!)
And the even better news is that everything is unpacked and I have only one more load of laundry to wash…
That’s a major deal for me…
so no funny post for today and I’m sorry I’ve been quiet this week… I was rejeuvinating…
I’m back…

Well, I’ve never heard the phrase “Cock of the Walk” and after a quick (and awkward) survey, noone else in my office has either. You educated us!! Isn’t that exciting? Also, having your own hotel room is so much fun. Did you jump on the bed?
