… my rear is heavier…

there’s a visual I’m SURE you needed…

However, now that more than just Lisa is reading my random thoughts not only can I stop paying her to comment… (ha ha, I’m totally kidding) but I can publicly proclaim that I am attempting to lose some weight.

And because I am publicly admitting this, I don’t mind if you ask me how I’m doing with it from time to time.

I quit smoking a little over 3 months ago…and in that 3 months, I’ve put on more weight than I care to admit. It’s now reached the out of control stage…

The kids and I have been walking between 1.5 and 2 miles almost every night… and then last night while I was watching Sanjaya and his horrible hair I went another 2 miles on the elliptical machine that I got on Freecycle a month ago, but up until Saturday, was used it as a hanging rack for my clothes.

No more.

I have an ab roller (I haven’t figured it out yet…) and the elliptical machine…. and my two legs…

and ha ha, Matthew wants to start running in the mornings, the little morning person that he is… so I told him if he woke me up, I would go… :)

This morning we were out at 6:15 running… we ran/walked a mile…

(By the way, there for a while I was running almost every day…then life happened….)

I think I can, I think I can…. :)

I know I can… it’s just a matter of doing it… :)

Until next time…

Paying me to comment? I’m still waiting on the check in the mail :D

Seriously though, you have quite a following now. Figured I’d better get here early so I could post first.

Glad to hear you are exercising. I need to start! Softball season starts in April. OMG! I just realized that’s like next week! ACK! I have to start slow though — walking 1/2 a mile. You’re killing me with this walking/running multiple miles!

Kudos on the stop smoking, hang in there. I quit 20 years ago. I still dream about it but so far so good. And yes I struggle with weight but I think that’s better than smoking. My lungs have forgiven me. My heart is in good shape.
You go on the running.

I am totally with you on the losing weight thing. We have started walking too but haven’t been able lately because we have been sick. I figured other walkers would not appreciate us puking all over the trail…

I hate exercising. But I need it sooo badly.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! I’m proud of you!
I’ve been attempting to get back into my walking routine. It’s sporadic.
