Confessions of an Irritable Mother…

in Faith, Mom Stuff, Yo!

I haven’t done many book reviews….

ok, I haven’t done any.

This really isn’t a formal one either…

However, I won “Confessions of an Irritable Mother” during the blog party in March (and it wasn’t even one of the books that I asked for because, c’mon…I’m not irritable…)

Are you frustrated with mothering? Are you feeling overwhelmed and hopeless? Have you ever secretly questioned God’s wisdom in giving you children? You’re not alone.

Many said, “Heather! You just won the perfect gift!” Great friends, I know…

Karen sent it along (complete with an autograph!) and I started reading it…

Her son, Joshua, thinks she’s the meanest mom in the world… little does he know that my mother is…. :) (Even though my daughter is convinced I am, my mother will not allow me to have that title until she takes her last breath…)

I’ve been reading it here and there since I got it… picking it up on the days that I feel super discouraged and it’s a FANTABULOUS book…. :)

So, I highly recommend that you hop on over to http://www.irritablemother.com and pick up a copy… and then, check out her blog… and while you’re on her site, you can sign up for her Survival Kit… it’s free…

She’s a wise woman… I know this because in addition to writing this great book, she also reads my blog… :)

After you pick it up and read it, I’d love to know what you think! :)

Until next time…

Future Meanest Mom in the Whole World…

You are such a kiss-up :D

I definitely need to get a copy of this! I’m quite irritable — at least 3 out of 4 weeks a month.

and yes you do need to get a copy because it’s great…

I’d give ya mine, but it’s autographed and all… :)

Heather, thank you so much for writing this post.
I was just checking in on you and was surprised when I saw the title. I thought, Hmmm that sounds familiar!:)
I’m so glad you’re being encouraged by the book.
Loved the line about why you know I’m a wise woman! BTW, can I quote you on that the next time one of my kids says I’m a bully? “No, honey. I’m just being wise. Heather said so!” lol

Hey, Heather. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I just checked out Karen’s site. I’ll add it to my list of books to check out.

Also, I’m linking you up at my site.

And your daughter is BEAUTIFUL.
