I’ve had so much fun this week with the Dog Days of Summer Giveaway…
I really have…
I didn’t get to enter many contests due to work and other stuff (like, say managing all the comments on my own blog) but it was all worth it!!!
So here we go…
(And for the record, I used Random.org to pick the winners… with almost 1000 total entries, there was just no way that I could do it any other way!)
Day 1 — Harry Potter Book #7 (which I have YET to finish reading….)
198 people signed up for this one….
and the commenter that won was #61….
margalit @ What Was I Thinking?
And because I loved reading all the comments, I picked two of my favorites… (that and I can share some linky love…
)
AngieD @ All About Angie wrote:
Oh, please, pick me! I’ve requested the book from the library and I’m number 458 in line to read it! ::waves hands wildly::
She even blogged about her misfortune at the library… if I were picking based on comments, Angie, you would’ve won fo’ sure! Sorry! But might I suggest PaperBackSwap.com for Books 1-6 and then you could splurge on the last book?
And Dale @ What Ever You Want Honey says…
Ok. I know that we are friends and all… so if I won it would appear that you were bias. So, I hope I win, like everyone else, but if I don’t I will not hold a grudge.

P.S. I am going to do the linky thing. Not for the extra entry, but because I love you, Matt and Sam!
Awww… I love you, too, Dale! And hopefully, I’ll have my copy finished by Friday so that I can loan it to you and Becki…. but I bet she’ll get to read it first!

Day 2 — Scrapbooking stuff from Creative Memories…
Did I mention that at one time I thought that I wanted to sell CM stuff? So I ordered their kit… and $500 worth of stuff the next month… and never had one. single. party…. so that’s where all this stuff came from…
248 peeps signed up for this one… and the winner is #218
But, the winner is…..
Bridet @ Do I look like a bank?
And my favorite comment…
Lori @ The Queen of Dirty Laundry said
Goodness gracious, what a generous giveaway! (and oh, the alliteration!)
I’m trying to do better about scrapping our lives, and this would certainly help.
Thanks!
Love the alliteration…

Ok… on to Day 3 — the Phone…
I’ve got to be honest… I thought Day 3 was the cheesiest prize that I had… but it was just shy of the comments that Harry Potter received…. y’all need phones! (omg! i just said y’all… i’ve been in the south too long!)
189 people entered this contest….
And the winner is…. #94
Natalie… who doesn’t have a blog… we need to get Natalie on the blog wagon….
Who knew this giveaway would be a learning lesson? Elizabeth F from The Whole Family said…
OH my! I need that 5.8Ghz phone. The 2.4Ghz phone interferes with your Wireless Signal on your laptop. (My hubby told me this.)So, I can’t talk on the phone and be on-line at the same time. This would help. Enter me please!
Really? That might have explained ALOT of problems around this house with my old phones… which, coincidentally don’t happen any more since I got my new phones… but if you can’t be online and talk on the phone at the same time… you might as well go back to dial-up… lol
Vana at Hennery said…
Really? A phone? Sweet! Just maybe I could fall in love with your blog!
Oh Vana… please don’t play me like that..
I do hope to see you back… even if you didn’t win the phone…
And lastly, Tracy at Tracy Michele Unplugged said…
A phone? What is this device you speak of? I thought everyone communicated solely through blogs. (giggle). Count me in and I will SOOO be back for the bling!
There’s truth in joking you know….

Moving on to Day 4 — the gift certificate!
There were 122 people who entered this one and random.org tells me that #39 should get an email from me and $25 to a book store!
That’s what she asked for…
Who?
Oh you want to know who it was…
Well…. it was my bud Deena from Wholly Devoted! And she’s been kinda bummy. Let me tell you a great little story about Deena… I met her through my blog… back during the Blog Party that 5 Mintutes for Mom had… and I used to get these emails from her saying that she prayed for God to bless me in some unexpected way… and it always happened. Lately, she’s been kinda bummy…. and I’ve been praying for her… praying for God to bless her in some unexpected way….
Love how That Man works!
But again… I had to chuckle when Tracy @ Tracy Michele Unplugged wrote….
As if $25 alone didn’t cause my head to spin… all the choices? AHHH. My personalities are fighting. One wants to eat at Longhorn. Another wants a new pair of jeans from the Gap. That mommy personality thinks it wise to go to BabyGap. The decorator wants Home Goods. I guess it will depend on which personality is prevailing on Friday. (giggle)
A woman after my own heart… I’ve got multiple personalities too!

Now… onto Day 5… the bling….
Kudos to those that made it back… as I predicted… the odds were much better….
Only 64 people to covet this beautiful bling…
For those that asked… no, I didn’t find it in the dog poop… and bless Matthew for being such a good sport… at the time we had both Rhoda (our black lab) and Napolean (our great dane… i lost custody of him in the separation…
)… but Napolean was a BIG dog and produced MASSIVE poop… I think I rewarded Matthew for all his help… at least, I hope I did…
But no, the ring was found in my daughters room… near as I can tell, I took it off one night when she and I were making lotion and lip balm because I didn’t want to get wax on my ring that I had to return… and I must’ve put it in the box with all the other stuff and it flew out when we put the stuff up in her room….
but that’s neither here or there… we found it and it now belongs to….
Anodyne @ Anodyne Designs…..
She’s my new ring sista’
And Karen (who has no blog to link to) said…
I love the story that goes behind the ring. I only wear yellow gold because white gold and silver doesn’t look as good on me. I would love to win your ring and I hope it will bring me some luck in finding a husband. Please enter me in your great contest!
Karen
There’s part of me that’s glad you didn’t win this one… it didn’t help me at all in finding a husband… but you know what? There are days that I am so thankful that I’m single…
And here’s Tracy again at Tracy Michele Unplugged… I’m telling you… I think we were separated at birth!
You won’t beleive me.. but a similar thing happened to me. My BF at the time bought me a very expensive sapphire and diamond watch. Parents were selling their house and I left the watch on my nightstand. After and open house I realized it was gone. Didn’t dare tell him so I went out and bought a new one ($300!). 2 weeks later my mother remembered she saw it before the open house and had hid it for me! AHHH. No receipt for the 2nd watch (got rid of the evidence!) so I decided to simply give it to a friend who had admired it. GULP. If only we were bloggers in the 90’s, I could have made a stranger very, very happy! Thanks for entering me. It is a beautiful ring.. and as luck would have it I wear yellow gold.

So that’s it…
It’s all over…
But never fear… I’ve got another giveaway next week in conjunction with MomsBlogging.com (did you go over there and see me yet?) So check back…
I’ve had a great time this week… and I wish I could give all of you prizes… but I can’t…
What I can do is give you a peek into my life on a somewhat regular basis… and I do hope you’ll take me up on that offer…
Hope to “see” you all back here soon!
Until next time…
Heather
PS. I’ve emailed all the winners… so if you were supposed to get an email from me and didn’t… contact me!

Heather, words cannot communicate how excited I am about being your new ring sista’. Thank you so much! It’s small repayment, but you’ve got a new loyal blog reader in me, now.
Just letting you know I came back. Thanks for commenting to my comment.
Congrats to the winners! Thanks for doing all of these giveaways, it was a lot of fun!
We could very well have been separated at birth.. were you also born to a crazy New England family? LOL. Oh, and if you have personality #63 (aka: patient child care provider), could I borrow her? Mine seems to have left sometime last night. *sigh*
Thanks for the linky love.. x’s 3!
The gift certificate is way cool…but I think those words you wrote about me blessed me even more…I’m touched, and it even made me cry:-)
Thanks, my bloggy sistah friend!! YOU ROCK!
Thanks for sharing the comments. That was fun!
Congrats to all the winners! How totally exciting!
Oh, that is so cool to check your blog and see my little ole name and linkage! You really did have awesome giveaways. Thanks for playing!
