Memory Lane Monday — Your Favorite Halloween Memory

Over at Moms Blogging, we’re talking about our Favorite Halloween Memory

And I don’t even have to think hard about which year it would be….

Well, the actual year? I’m not sure… I would guess it was 2003? Maybe 2002? That doesn’t matter… what does matter is that my son was the Tin Man, my daughter was Dorothy and I was the scarecrow (although I don’t have a picture of me as the scarecrow… but that doesn’t matter… I was NOTHING compared to them.)

I made the Tin Man costume and I was so tickled with myself. This is the ONLY costume that I’ve ever made… ever. Seriously, I’m so not the “mom” in that way.

But I made this one… and my mom made the Dorothy costume… and she still talks about the PERFECT zipper that she put in… (so if you sew, I’m assuming you can relate to this, because I don’t sew… so I don’t know how hard it is to put a zipper in… but I do know that she’s still talking about it!)

Anywho…

Matthew won TWO costume contests that year… and my kids were just oh-so-cute… and it’s always been my most favorite Halloween….
