**Please note… I am an idiot…
If you are here for the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival, please find the correct post here.
And if you’re so inclined, you can read and listen to my top 10 Christmas songs below…
Musings of a Housewife is hosting a little meme over there about her top 10 Christmas Songs and well, I love Christmas Carols, but there are just so many and I don’t know who sings what and the versions, etc… so I’m going to play, because I love her, but you’ll notice a few songs on here that are, well, um… yeah… there the only ones that I can think of.
So here we go….
10. My favorite things — I love this song. Whenever I sing it, I feel like dancing all around like Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music
9. Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Bruce Springsteen) — because this is the BEST version ever.
8. The Christmas Shoes — makes me tear up every single time… and I love the movie too…mmm… Rob Lowe
7. I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas… I just love it! ‘Nuff said…
6. Dominic the Donkey — It’s never played. You probably don’t even know what song that I’m talking about…if you do, will you be my new best friend?
5. Please Daddy, Don’t Get Drunk Christmas (John Denver) — Yes, it’s sad, but we had the album when I was a kid and it’s the one song that we twang along with….
4. Santa Baby — Madonna! Woo hoo!
3. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus — yeah, I wish!
2. The Hanukkah Song (Adam Sandler) I crack up every single time… “Some people think that Ebenezer Scrooge is well he’s not, but guess who is
ALL THREE STOOGES!!!!”
1. Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer… the most underplayed Christmas song ever.. they should play it more!
There you have it….
For more, head over to Musings of a Housewife…
Until next time…

Thank you for playing! I feel the love. I’m not alone at my party. Hope you like donuts. We have a lot to eat!!!
We don’t know one another, but I found your blog and I had to tell you that I know the Dominic the Donkey song, and I love it. My husband thinks I’m goofy, but it’s so fun! He burned a Christmas song CD for me our first Christmas together 3 years ago, when we were dating, and it includes Dominic, Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah Song, and the Hippo song. He’s active duty military, and while my daughter and I were making the 7 hour drive to see him I crank up the Christmas music, this started in October for me this year! Have a Merry Christmas!
I am new to Dominick this year. Love it, keep playing it over and over for my kids.
Rob Lowe??
Anyway, I would love to have your recipe mentioned in your comment to Musings! Will you please share? It sounds yummy!
AHHHH! Not the Domenic the Donkey song! We cannot stand that song. There are 2 radio stations in Boston that switch to Christmas carols 24/7 on (maybe before) Thanksgiving. At first it is fun. Now I think I have heard every Christmas carol ever recorded.
The kids still prefer the Burl Ives songs and those from the Christmas specials. Although my 12 year old son likes Santa Baby!
I’ve never heard the Barbara Streisand song before until I just listened to it – nice. I didn’t know Madonna sang a version of my favorite song (Santa Baby) and that’s weird because I used to love Madonna…LOL. As for Christmas Shoes – so sad but Rob Lowe, yum yum
And Santa Got Runover by a Reindeer – LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This song is a tradition in our family because my step dad gets such a kick out of it so we listen to it every year (over and over and over!).
I forgot about the Hannukah song! LOL!
I finally did my top 10, too! Better late than never!

Missed out on this list at Christmas time but stumbled upon it now and got a kick out of it. One of the cable stations is actually planning a Christmas movie festival for the 4th of July weekend, so I guess it is never too early to get in the Christmas spirit!
