in Dorks R Us, Yo!

…even though I’m having trouble…

I just found out that NKOTB… you know, New Kids on the Block?

Yeah… them…

Well, they’re coming back!

According to People Magazine…

After months of speculation and rumor, the Kids are coming back. A well-placed source tells PEOPLE exclusively that New Kids On The Block are indeed getting back together.

The band’s Web site, www.nkotb.com, which had been dormant, is now back up and running in anticipation of the official announcement, which the source says will be made in the next few weeks.

The site currently features a television graphic with a fuzzy, flickering photos of NKOTB in their heyday, and a link inviting fans to sign up for info.

The boy band, which made legions of tweens swoon in the early ’90s, selling more than 50 million albums, became a worldwide phenomenon before calling it quits in 1994.

Eighteen years later, they’re still “Hangin’ Tough.” The oldest “Kid,” Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band’s demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight’s brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.

29look3.jpgYes, I signed up to be notified…

Yes, I really would go see them…

Yes, I just spent the last 20 minutes watching videos on their website…

Yes, I am a dork… and don’t you forget it!

So honestly, who was your favorite? You can admit that you were a fan, it’s okay… really…

Mine was always Donnie… for a brief moment I switched over to Monkey Boy Danny, but my heart always remained faithful to Donnie… I even wore the huge button to prove it… :)

Until next time…

Heather

OMG! My BFF and I used to call Danny “Monkey Boy” too!

My favorite was Jordan. When the NKOTB came to Memphis I was in the eighth grade, and I couldn’t afford tickets, so I spent DAYS trying to win them.

And then, one of my good friends went, and the next day said, “Hey, turns out we had an extra ticket. You could’ve gone with us.” Her mom had gotten them from her job, for free.

It took me a while to get over that one.

I was a rebel and Jonothan was my favorite. I had NKOTB jewelry and everything, but I never did get to see them. I can’t believe they are staging a comeback.

I cannot lie – I had a thing for older men, Jon was my fave New Kid. Only in a “in ten years our age difference won’t matter” kinda way, lol!

Oh my goodness..I can just see a bunch of 30 somethings attending one of their concerts wearing their buttons on their jean jackets proudly. Joey was always my favorite cause he was the youngest and I some how felt I had a better chance with the whole age thing and all.

Wow Heather. I heard they were possibly going on tour again.

I was a huge NKOTB fan. My room was totally wallpapered in posters, I had the jewelry and even started a club “The Kool Kids Klub” for my friends and I to swoon over them. We had binders and everything. Joey was my favorite and *sigh* always will be.

Donnie was my man too and I had not only the big button, but the doll too! LOL My cousin liked Monkey Boy and her, I and my best friend in HS did a talent show and danced to Right Stuff! :)
