I’ve been tagged by PJ, Lisa B., and Patty (and there might have been some more but I’m not seeing a link back to remind me) to tell you 7 (or 6) weird things about me… quirks if you will…
There are rules, and I’ll post them for you, but I’m not going to follow them…
Get over it…
- Link to the person’s blog who tagged you.
- Post these rules on your blog.
- List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.
- Tag seven random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
- Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.
I’m not tagging anyone… the other’s I’ve followed…
So, this should be pretty easy… I’m quirky like that…
- I almost never use a hair brush. Now it’s not because I don’t believe in good hygiene, but because my hair never tangles. I don’t know why. It’s just like that. When I get out of the shower I can run my fingers through it and then blow dry it and it does what I want it to. Even when I wake up in the morning, my fingers work just fine to brush my hair. If my daughter didn’t need one, I probably wouldn’t own one.
- My children are almost the same age apart as my brother and I are… meaning my brother and Sam are August babies, 20 years apart and Matthew and I are January babies 20 years apart. Matthew was actually due on my birthday and I came on my due date… which means that my parents and my ex-husband and I had sex on the same day 20 years apart… ::shutter:: I know… it’s gross.
- I cannot read or watch shows, movies, etc out of sequence. Meaning, if I miss the first episode of a new drama I will not watch for the rest of the season. I have to watch things in chronological order. This goes for books, too. If I find out that I’ve read book two in a series of five, I will have to go back and read book one, and then re-read two, before I can finish the series.
- On that same note, I cannot watch an episode of Law and Order, CSI, or other shows like that if I miss the first 5 minutes where I am supposed to learn the crime committed and the person murdered.
- I typically purchased the cheapest of everything except when it comes to my laundry and dish soap. I will pay whatever it costs for Dawn and All Free and Clear.
- I’ve been wearing the same color eye makeup since I started wearing makeup 10ish years ago… (I had to think if I wore makeup in high school and I don’t think that I did. It was never a big deal to me.) I wear brown eye liner on the top lid, and black mascara. Boring, right?
- My FAVORITE video game is Paappa the Rappa… now, we rented this when I was married and we had a PS One. Our house was broken into and the system stolen and even though we have three PS Ones in the house right now, I’ve not once bought the game (it was hard to find there for awhile) — last week I found it at Game Stop for the PSP and was ready to buy it, however, a moment of sanity came over me and I decided that I had no business spending $30 on a PSP game that I really didn’t have time to play.. (the problem was I would’ve made time…)
There you have it…
Now, if you’ve not yet been tagged, consider it done!
Let me know when you’ve posted and I’ll come take a peek!
Until next time…
Heather
*No Quirks It Works was a slogan that my mother came up with when she and my father were brainstorming for a project he was working on… we still laugh about it and say it to this day… so that’s probably not funny to you, but it was fitting for me… for this post about quirks!

I’m the same way about T.V. shows as you are with books. I haven’t seen 99% of the new shows because I never watched the first few episodes to familiarize myself with the characters. I always end up watching something that doesn’t require you to know what happened in epidode 3 of season 2. I just can’t handle the pressure of keeping up.
