Guess what?
I love memes and I love books… AND I was looking for a distraction today…
So when Anna tagged me, I thought it was a sign that I should stop everything I was doing (which was a bit of nothing) and play along…
so here goes…
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages.)
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
Now the nearest book to me is Your Girl: Raising a Godly Daughter in an UnGodly World. My buddy Lisa gave it to me for Christmas… I’m 1/2 way through it… you should read it. Really… you should…unless of course, you don’t have a daughter, then it might not apply to you… but it’s still a good book…
but back to the meme…
Jesus made it clear in Mark 12:25 that there will be no marriages in heaven. Our daughters must be taught that investing in a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ is a priority, not to mention a prerequisite to investing in a happy marriage. The longer our daughters spend basking in the unfailing love of Christ, the better equipped they will be in the future to explore other matters of the heart.
Amen.
