Our last basketball games were Saturday which means this Saturday? We can actually sleep in.
And since basketball is over, that means I don’t have to rush around, get dinner ready and kids out the door tonight for basketball practice.
And while I love that both of my children are involved in sports, and I typically don’t mind carting them to and fro, I’m looking forward to a few weeks with nothing to do.
Our weekends have filled up, though… I’ve got the Women’s Retreat with church… and then there’s BattleCry in Winston-Salem with the teens…which pretty much accounts for my kid free weekends in March, but that’s okay…
And when we return from Battle Cry softball season will be upon us… did I mention we convinced Samara to play softball this year?
We did. By we, I mean her basketball coach and I.
Did I also mention that we only did this by someone convincing me to coach?
That’s right! You are looking at the new head coach of the mini-mites White Sox.
While I’m excited that my child is finally playing a sport that I know, it’s been 12 years since I’ve really played. But they are 6, 7, and 8 year olds… so I think I’ll be okay, right?
It will be fine… really, because Matthew has decided that he’d like to take the position of equipment manager…
It will be a family affair…
And secretly? I’m kind of looking forward to it.
Until next time…
Heather

I told you that you would be a softball coach before all was said and done!
