I go crazy sometimes. Ok, alot of times.
I’ve done this every day giveaways once before, but this time I wasn’t prepared. I didn’t think ahead.
I’ve been winging it.
Actually, no I haven’t. I knew after a few minutes of thought what I would give away every day except today.
Monday was easy… who doesn’t love a gift certificate, especially when it’s to anywhere you want?
Tuesday was pretty simple too. I tripped over that blasted Digimakeover, the one that was used once before being put back in the box two Christmases ago, for the gazillionth time. It was safe to say that it could go. I know many girls who love the digi makeover. My daughter is not one of them. Go figure.
Wednesday was pretty easy, too. I have a thing for the New Kids on the Block, therefore, what kind of blogger would I be without giving away something that related to them? Finding something was the problem.
Friday is my big giveaway. The odds are always better because the link back on Mr. Linky is so far down and although people SAY they are going to come back every day? They don’t. And I’m okay with that. But it’s true. Look at the gift card nearing 400 comments because it was 16th on the Linky. The rest of the giveaways? I don’t think we’ve hit 50.
But tomorrow’s giveaway is a biggie. A prize package for a lucky blogger that would cost you in the hundreds of dollars. I say $400, but really? That’s just the marketer in me. It probably wouldn’t really cost you that much. But it would cost you in the triple digits. So, I encourage you to check back tomorrow for that.

Typically, I do look around my house for gently used items that would be worthy of a giveaway. I try to find things that wouldn’t require selling my second born to ship them, but also things that other bloggers would want.
And just like I say, “I have nothing to wear” as I look in my closet and drawers to find something to wear on a first date, I am now looking at my bursting at the seams house saying “there is nothing to give away.”
I could’ve been more prepared.
But that would’ve required me to not enter the contests myself and plan this out. (And, yes, for the first time in the last 3 carnivals, I FINALLY started entering some. I got tired of being the hostess with the mostess. I wanted to win things too.)
And then I remembered something…
A few months ago, I started purchasing things that would be great for last minute gifts or for blog giveaways and put them in the closet. So when I went in there to see what I had, much to my delight, I realized that I had something to give away for today after all!
The tear drop shape fits your back and spreads the weight. Real patchwork leather, with two outer pockets, three inside pockets, plus a quick release for keys. Rubber shoulder pad helps prevent slipping. Black. 16″ long x 10″ wide.
I actually gave one to my daughter and she loves it! Hopefully, it can work for some of you as well… either a purse, a diaper bag, or just something to grab when you’re running out the door with all of your necessities.

Hmmm . . . well most people would probably think it’s weird that I carry a spray bottle of vinegar with essential oils added to it LOL. But seriously, it’s awesome stuff!! It’s my deodorant (seriously, I will NEVER go back to the chemical stuff!) and that’s why I started carrying it, but it has so many other uses! Walk into a super nasty public bathroom? A quick spray & wipe off w/ TP and I can stomach the thought of my children sitting on (and TOUCHING because you know, they have to kind of perch up there) the seat. Back when they tended to eat their meals off the tables instead of a plate, I did the same thing at restaurant tables (even if the restaurant was clean, that meant they’d been wiping the tables w/ bleach & gunk that I don’t want my kids EATING) . . . nowhere to wash our hands? A quick spray of this stuff at least kills the germs. I’ve also used it once or twice to disinfect a “boo boo” (though of course it stings, so it’s reserved for the gravel filled scrapes & such that truely need serious disinfecting) . . . I LOVE this stuff!!! It an Arnica are the things that go in my pocket when I don’t carry a purse!

Well, I am kind of a minimalist, so I don’t really carry much excess in my bag, like stale marshmallows, dirty socks, or a tire gauge. What I do have is my Student’s Union card from when I was in college more than 20 years ago. I kept it because alumni were able to use it to get into the theatre on campus for a discount. Of course I live 3,000 miles away now, and the theatre closed years ago, but that doesn’t stop me from hanging on to this imporant piece of my history.
I usually don’t enter giveaways and such, but this one I could definitely use. Because the weirdest thing I have in my purse right now? Well, I don’t have one. I used to carry one about a year ago, but then it broke or something and I just never got a replacement. So there you go. I don’t carry a purse. I feel like the fashion police are going to come get me now.

Funny you ask this…I just switched out from carrying a purse to just tossing my essential into my 8 month olds diaper bag and found inside my purse the little bottle of medicine for the Depo shot in there…from December 2006!
Let me explaine a little. I was due to get the shot in Dec and had a nagging feeling to but a test when I picked up the bottle from the pharmacy. Well I pee’d on the stick the night before my appt to get the shot administered and well……I STILL HAVE THAT BOTTLE…lol
The weirdest thing I have is a key chain pictionary game. It’s probably not weird but maybe something you don’t see everyday. It has the little pencils, timer and cards. It comes in great handy for kids when sitting in a boring waiting room.

It’s probably a locking clip for my son’s car seat. For some reason I have an extra one in my purse even though there is already one on his seat. It looks weird, is heavy, and always gets tangled with my IPod, so I don’t even know why I keep it in my purse.

My purse is tiny. I refer to it as a wallet on a string. The weirdest thing I have in my pocket book is an acorn. It’s been in there so long I’m surprised it hasn’t taken root yet! LOL!!! My son picked it up a zillion years ago (so it would seem) because he wanted to plant a tree (in a flower pot too I might add – got to love kids!). He was so excited about it and that was all he talked about. But he’s long since forgot about it and moved on. I kept it because I can still remember how excited he was when he found it and the HUGE smile he had on his face.
The weirdest thing in my purse right now are nursing pads. Well, that’s really not so weird except for the fact that I stopped breastfeeding my daughter two months ago.

My purse is used in a variety of ways. Eventhough I have a diaper bag it seems my purse carries itesm which should be in a diaper bag. The wierdest thing in my purse right now would have to be Power of Attorney Papers and Last Will and Testament of my Husband…it is a long story but right now they need to say in my purse so they go everywerhe with me! I recently did a post of what was in my purse at that time with pictures and all..LOL I won a candle recently at a party. The consultant asked for us to find something in our purse that began with a P. Everyone else pulled out Pads and I won because of the Power of Attorney…they thought that was so funny……so POA and my Hubs Will…are in my purse!

Well, since my purse doubles as a diaper bag… I guess it’s not weird but I have a burp cloth in there. Ya never know when Ladybug will have a messy burp that needs cleaning. I do have a smaller purse that I use when I go someplace without her (which is usually 2x/week), but there’s nothing weird in there since it’s not used much.

So, um, you may or may not believe me, but I’ve only very VERY recently started carrying a purse… and the verdict is still out as to if I’ll continue it (as I tend to try to leave it places or I forget it entirely).
So the weirdest thing in it right now? Probably a tampon. I understand that isn’t very weird (I assume quite normal) for most women, but dude…
… I had a hysterectomy… I don’t even use those things anymore.
I have no idea why purposefully put it in my purse (post hysterectomy). I mean, why?? It’s not like it’s left over from some previous time when I could’ve used it – I didn’t even have a purse then.
And I really really really really want to win this one. So pick me. Just because.

If you only knew how hard I’m laughing. I’m eating dinner at my computer. I’m eating an artichoke. A leaf fell off my desk and into my purse and I’ve not yet removed it. So..that has to be the wierdest thing in my purse.

The weirdest item in my purse at the moment is probably a watch face, with the cover off, and no strap. I tried to have the battery replaced at Target, and the guy popped the clear cover on the front off and couldn’t get it back on, then accidentally tore the strap as he was trying to force it back on. Weirdest item? A little tiny plastic baby I found half-buried in the ground at my Grandma’s house when we were cleaning. It’s filthy, I have tried to get it clean, I have NO idea why it was out there, but I just can’t bring myself to let go of it.
I have a toothbrush, it’s not mine, I think it’s my son’s … from last year. I don’t know why it is there.
I have a sweet potato fry in my purse. Yes. Not kidding. J dropped it in the store. I had nowhere to put it, so I just stuffed it in my purse (thinking I’d throw it away later). Nope, still there (I am throwing it away now . . . ).

The strangest thing in my purse right now is a leftover breastfeeding pad. You know, those things you put over your nipples when you are breastfeeding so that you don’t leak through your shirts? It wouldn’t be so strange except I stopped breastfeeding over a YEAR ago! LOL

The oddest thing in my purse right now is the chewed up rawhide toy my puppy left in the car. Actually, I’d better go get it out right now…thanks for reminding me. Wet rawhide smells!

Weirdest thing in my purse: calculator (not that exciting)
A card from a hardware store with a paint color I really liked. Not doing any painting I just liked the color when I was shopping with hubby.
Thank you so much for doing this!! When I was out earlier, I had to change the baby’s diaper. Now I am not one to throw it under the car in a parking lot and there were no trash cans around. So I wrapped it up and stuck it in my bag to throw away as soon as I got home. Then I forgot. At least it was a wet diaper and not a dirty one. yick.

It may not seem weird but right now I have crayons in my purse. The reason why it is weird is because I can’t find a pen or a pencil in my purse….just crayons. So the other day when I went to write something down all I could pull out was a crayon. Guess that’s what having a kid will do to ya.

I’m pretty good at cleaning out my purse regularly and keeping only practical items in there. However, I did find a completely empty and therefore useless Purell bottle that has been in there for a while.

Hm… I’m not so sure I’ve got anything all that weird–empty cracker wrappers, an old popsicle stick, a broken crayon… well, maybe the unused diaper, even though my son’s been potty trained for a couple months now… oops!
