Please don’t be embarrassed…

I treated myself to getting my nails done tonight.  I’ve had a pretty emotionally draining week and thought that it would be a good pick me up.

So between all the comments that I’ve received this week, and all the new people that I’ve met, and now the nails, I’ve got a little bounce in my step tonight.  So thank you to all who were involved.

Now, while I was at the nail salon, I actually spoke up.  I normally keep quiet, because I ALWAYS get the person who speaks no English and so I find it better to just keep my mouth shut.  It’s hard to sit there forever and say nothing.

But the owner, owns a house down the street and his tenants, who just moved in 3 months ago, is now moving out.

And then?  I heard this sound.  I knew the sound instantly.  It was a cell phone but the music that was alerting the customer behind me?

Step By Step.

Oh baby…

And I looked at her and gasped, “Is that the New Kids I hear coming from your phone?”

Sheepishly, she replied yes, as if she were embarrassed and ashamed.

“That is too cool!!!!” I started and then proceeded into a ramble about them and how excited I was that they were coming back and how awesome it was that they have ringtones, etc.

You know me well enough to know how I was going on and on and on.

She smiled and told me that she was excited, but that sometimes she was embarrassed.

“Please don’t be embarrassed, it’s totally cool!”

And you know what?

It is!  Tres cool!

And now I’m off to find a NKOTB ring tone for my phone…
