I just have to share that this still brings tears to my eyes. I miss the person I was back when we were talking which means I do need to get into my Bible again. God was the One typing through my fingers. The Holy Spirit was telling me what to pray.

Because I desperately wanted to tell you not to go out with your friends that night — that it would be a mistake. That was my view on things. But God had a bigger view. He knew you needed to go, and that I needed to pray for you. I knew in the bottom of my heart though that if I were in your position (which I had been many times before), I would not have listened to someone telling me not to go.

And boy, did I pray And Duck prayed — and we prayed the entire Sunday morning. Yes, I asked God to wake you up — to help you get to that church. God has done an awesome work in your life and in mine. We need to keep sight of that! Me especially

Thanks for your recent advice. I’m going to sit down and have a good talk with God when I get back from dropping Doodle at school!

God’s wake-up calls – gotta love em! I know what you mean about Him making things obvious. The first Sunday we visited the church we now attend (and we were just there to see their audio/visual set up) one of the first things they did was ask all the business owners to come to the front for a special prayer. Guess who owns two businesses – my husband. And guess who was presented with a new expansion opportunity just after that Sunday – you guessed it. My husband. There were so many things that happened that week, and have happened since, that have confirmed that it’s where we’re supposed to be. It takes faith to drive 20 minutes up the highway to church when gas is $4 a gallon, but we figure that if that church is where God wants us to be, He’ll supply that need too.
