Reading this forced me to admit: I’ve opted out of all this stuff. I mostly don’t look pretty; I don’t work too hard (‘tho I’m the household bread winner); and I refuse to set up a blogroll or use RSS feeds, lest they induce some sense that I should be doing something.

At the risk of alienating you forever by sounding too self-righteous, I do have to admit, lastly, that I am heading downstairs now to eat a big piece of chocolate cake–no reminder note needed.

Chick? You rock. I love your honesty, and I’m willing to bet a lot of other women will too. I think we need to give ourselves permission to be tired and worn out and wanting to just give it all up some days. All I can say is that I won’t get pissy if you read my blog. I honestly won’t. I’m going to keep reading you no matter what. You’re probably one of three on my blog roll I’d read even if I never heard from them ever again. Just wanted you to know that.

I just LOVE You! You make me laugh OUT LOUD in the middle of my living room in front of the hubby who doesn’t get it (which yes, I’m planning on leaving, another story) and the kid who does get it and laughs because of the moment I can laugh.

Yes, I’m exhausted too! I can’t sleep (3-5 hrs night, maybe 30 min. nap if I’m lucky in the afternoon) because there’s so much to do to make life work, make enough money and keep up!

Just wanted you to know you’re not alone. Also, want you to know I truly appreciate you sharing your insanity so mine doesn’t seem so overwhelming.

I’m right there with you! I just recently purged my blogroll, removing all the ones I don’t actually read. So far, no one has complained and I feel better about it.

I also wish that just doing simple things with my son, like getting him out the door or getting him to go to the bathroom, were not so much work. Seriously, one trip to the potty can totally wear me out these days.

Wow, I can totally relate! My hubby is a lot of worK too, and yes, it’s a good thing he’s cute.
