It’s amazing what a difference a day can make.
I’m packed.
The house is relatively picked up. (And for the record, I’m stressing over my house only because my parents will be here Tuesday to drop off the kids and I try to have it near museum quality when they are here. I always fall short.)
I’ve run my errands.
All the items on my list are checked off.
So now, I sit here and wait until the clock hits 5 so that I can officially clock out and head toward Lisa’s.
(Isn’t it awesome that I have people to stay with through this amazing internet world?)
And I’m ready. Mentally and physically.
And I’m excited.
It’s still almost surreal to me. I’m going to San Francisco.
I’m staying in a hostel.
I’m meeting some incredible people.
I’m going to see the Golden Gate Bridge and all the other things that I’ve been seeing while watching Full House re-runs this week. (Coincidentally, I leave the TV in my room on and that’s what’s on at 3 am when I’ve been falling into the bed.)
This is exciting.
The only thing I would love more would be to know, right now, if there is anyone on my flight from DC to San Francisco. My bet is that there is someone and I’m going to try to seek them out when I wait for three hours at Dulles tomorrow.
I even have a new pen (okay 5) and new notebook to take with me. Yes, I’m an office supply geek.
I’ve got a few guest bloggers lined up for you while I’m traveling. The BFF will be back and making fun of me, I’m sure. She likes to kid me about my travel adventures and the first conference that I went to like this, coincidentally was with her. And we met for the first time. And there were incidents.
Please pray for a safe trip, free of incidents and delays. For safe travels to Raleigh and no speeding tickets.
And the next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Washington, DC or San Francisco. Take your pick.
And in case you’re wondering…
No I didn’t pack a hairbrush.
Until next time…

That’s funny, I don’t know you but I am excited for you:-)
I have lived in SF for about 3 years now and I am loving it every single day!
I remember how happy I was to come here the first time and I was not disappointed.
Stop by our store to say hi and tell us how it goes.
Have a safe trip:-)

You’ll be great. Did you realize the lady you linked to who’s staying at the same hostel — lives in St. Louis? Isn’t that where you and BFF met? I seem to remember stories of singing loudly in an elevator? Or maybe it was just singing loudly??
Can’t wait to see you! And I’ve even dressed my “new” way tonight
Just don’t count on me looking this great in the morning!!
My sister stayed in hostels when she went to England a couple of years ago. Some of her roommates were great, and some weren’t – but it was a great experience.
Have a great trip!
