I’m a last minute kinda gal. I search and search for a gift and can’t find exactly what I’m looking for and then when I find it, I’ve either missed the deadline to get it there by Christmas or I have to pay overnight shipping costs, which I won’t.
So unless someone is local, the chances of them getting Christmas presents from me, on time, is slim to none.
That is, until this year.
This year I wanted to be on top of things. I wanted to get the cards out that I was going to send and I did that. I wanted to have all my shopping done by the 10th and short of stocking stuffers, I’m done.
I want to have all the wrapping done before Christmas Eve. I don’t want to be up all night wrapping presents this year and while I’m not quite done with all of the wrapping, I do have all the presents that need to be mailed wrapped.
They are even in boxes.
Addressed.
Ready to go to the post office.
And it’s the 10th.
That means that I have 15 days to get them to their final destinations.
And everyone is going to get their Christmas presents on time.
My mother will probably have a heart attack from the shock of it all.
But I should probably wait to celebrate this monumentous occassion, because, well, the boxes have not yet made it to the post office yet.
And I?
I’ve had Christmas cards addressed, sealed and stamped in the back of my car well into February because I just couldn’t make it to the post office.
But I’m bound and determined to get these mailed before I head out for the weekend.
So we’ll see what happens.
They are at least bought and wrapped and boxed up… that’s 3/4 of the work done.

I’m usually good at planning and shopping and getting gifts mailed but not this year. My head is all over the place and it’s annoying me! I need to get my a$$ together! lol
Despite the short season this year – and my REFUSAL to start it even a day early – I’m almost done.
You might call that organized. I call it obsessive-compulsive.
I’m almost done too. Need to get labels printed (which isn’t going well), make one more mall/ Target run and get to the post office this weekend. My goal is to be done by Friday.
Except that I probably won’t be done. I’ll probably keep shopping. Subconsciously, I think I don’t WANT to be done until the last minute.
I dunno. I’m kinda skeptical. I’m not sure your gonna make it. heh heh
Way to be on top of things this year!! I have my cards addressed and am awaiting the stamps to come to me in the mail (yep, I’m avoiding going to the post office at all costs!). I have most of my Christmas gifts bought…I need to take a few back and exchange them of a different size because apparently I thought my child was bigger than what he really is.
