Smart cookie you've got there. I finally fessed up to my oldest when he was in fourth grade, but after Christmas. He just kept asking, so I brought him into the fold. My daughter is in fifth and doesn't question. I'm sure she does internally, but never aloud.

Oh that IS great! You've got one smart girl on your hands there.

A couple weeks ago, I was watching Desperate Housewives and one of the characters said something about Santa not being real. Andrew was sitting on the couch next to me coloring or something. I thought he wasn't paying attention, but his head popped up then he slowly looked at me and said, "Santa. Isn't. Real?"

I'm a quick thinker though. I shook my head like that was the stupidest thing I ever heard and said, "This is just a TV show. They say stupid things all the time."

Whew. That was close!

Be sure to let us know if you found the wrapping paper. That will be too cool! Maybe you should do it in something else and give her a "letter" from Santa and give a reason for the new paper. You've got a week to think of something believable. :)

We have the same kind of Christmas as "Sis" where our Santa gifts show up Christmas morning without wrapping paper.

Chuckle. Mom's response to the Is he real question was simply, What do YOU think? Total cop out if you ask me, but didnt lie.
Around here Santa doesnt wrap things, they just appear in all their plastic glory on Christmas morning. Batteried, Tab A slid into Slot B, packaging wire wars already won, (usually pretested by the longhair who cant wait) ready for all out boy induced mayhem. (Did Boy mention that our 2 are getting a nerf machine gun too?? Ahh the upcoming wars)

Oh this is GREAT! I hope you find it.... I so wanted mine to believe as long as possible and this year, Kass figured it out to the point where even though I say I still believe... she does know.... but I can still believe right?!

Find that wrapping paper... that will be the best ever if they prezzies show up in her "hidden" paper.

I love this.

Stay in touch.... I miss our lunches!!!

Oh my gosh that's funny.
I made a big boo boo as well about Santa. My MIL is also Santa's biggest helper. Last year she(Santa) got them Guitar Hero. I made the mistake of saying something about Grandma getting us Guitar Hero for Christmas last year...not thinking of course. Woops!
Now the oldest is seriously rethinking things over on the Santa thing.
