I’m a little unsure of how we’ve reached Memorial Day. It seems like just yesterday it was Christmas… or my birthday, or shoot! Even Valentine’s Day, but here we are a week from the kick off to the summer season.
It’s hard to imagine that the boy and I have been dating for eight months. It’s even harder for me to believe that it’s been eight months since I’ve seen Becki. I’ve been at my new job for going on two months but what’s more?
The kittens are eight weeks old this week. Which means?
They are going home.
Well, A (Reese) and C (Sgt. Tiz) are. B… who somewhere along the line got the name Daisy will continue to stay here until we can find her a home. I’m praying that someone will come along and fall in love with her the way I have and offer to give her a home, but we’ll see.
In just three weeks, school is going to be out and sports are going to be over. In three months, my nine year old is going to turn 10…
Life is going by so quickly and I’m afraid that I’m guilty of not stopping to smell the proverbial roses…
(Which… speaking of roses… oh my gosh… i found the roses that I want and the boy is going to help me grow them… I just didn’t buy them because Dave Ramsey said I had to pay cash and from my blow money and I need to replenish that but LOOK!!

It’s flying… I don’t know where it’s going…
So I’m going to schedule into my week some r & r time…
It’s needed…
My first something for me? The boy and I went to see Casting Crowns Friday night. Loved it. (The lead signer said he was going to be the biggest dork in Heaven. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I’ve already claimed it!) and then? I’m taking a writing class once a month… but want to know what else?
I’m not doing a blessed thing on Sunday after church. Not one litle thing. I’m going to spend some time with those I love. No yard work, no housework, no work work… just vegging… chilling… and relaxing.
I deserve it.

The flowers are gorgeous. I laughed at your comments about Dave Ramsey. A friend of mine gave me the link to his site a while back. I can’t say a follow his advice to the letter but I have gotten a lot better with my spending decisions/ debt decisions from reading his advice.
