Quick Little Update

I have a few posts from the journal that I need to share and I’m hoping to do some SERIOUS writing over the next 10 days… wanna know why?  Because I’m on vacation and I have so many things that I need to get out of my head.  Most of you don’t know, because I suck at writing on here now for various reasons, but I finished writing a book.  (I know, right?)  It needs some editing work… and some more work… like the characters?  I forgot their names and so there is one character has three names throughout the book.  And there’s some other work, too, but it will get done.  When God’s ready for it to be, right?  Right.

Well, the book ended in such a way that I could easily pick it up and start with a sequel.  It’s time to start part 2.  I don’t know when it will be done.  I don’t know when part 1 will really be done but I must get this out of my head and on to paper.  And I’ve found the perfect writing spot and so therefore, I shall write.

Speaking of writing, I was approached this past week to write for a new project that someone is starting and I’m stoked.  This project is "real" authentic Christian stuff.  No, seriously.  It was a total God thing in how it all happened … well God and social networking, but I am STOKED!!!!!!!!  I’ll tell you more as soon as I can.  No, really.  I will.  Because it’s awesome.

Ok, so then, I have this friend Katherine, although I’m sure she wonders about me as I’ve not seen or talked to her in like… oh I don’t know, FOREVER.  She lives right here in town.  I have her number, email address, blog, etc… but I’ve been so swamped that I’ve fallen off the face of the planet… but she is just so loving and comments and emails me and then today?  I checked her blog, because I’m nosey and all and guess what?  She’s giving away a Wii, Wii fit and $100 in product from Shamrock Farms .

I know, right?

I don’t think I qualify since it’s all about how you’re being active this summer and I’m pretty sure working your toosh off and not eating because you don’t have time doesn’t qualify, but I’ll give it a whirl!  But head over there and check it out and make sure that you enter.  (Oh and could you do me a super huge favor?  Spread the word!!!)

What else can I tell you?

Did I mention I was on vacation?  I am.  Which really?  I’m pretty sure that vacation means I shouldn’t have to do laundry or anything like that, but then I think that if I don’t, we won’t have anything to wear.  I’m pretty sure the neighbors don’t want us running around naked.  Just a hunch.

Oh!  Matthew, my Matthew that is growing so fast that I can’t believe it?  Yeah, him.  Last week I shipped him off with Pastor Man (who popped the question to his woman the other morning!!) and the Bible Quiz Team to the Bible Quizzing Nationals held at Southern Weslyean University.  He was gone for what felt like forever, but when he got back he told me the good news!  Their team came in 2nd in the B division granting him a $150 scholarship to a Wesylean college or university when he’s ready to go.  Praise God I’ve got a text book paid for already!!! 

Heh.

I don’t know what else I can tell you.  My world’s been flip flopped upside down in the last 4 months and it’s been a ride that I’m not sure that I want to take again anytime soon, but I know that God’s right there with me and we’ll be alright.  (Of course, a snot fest last night and friends who sat there and just listened helped out alot.)

I’m pretty blessed.

So, I’m off to do the laundry.  Not as quick as I wanted it to be but it’s something.  Thanks to all of you who hang with me despite my flightyness… You are a blessing to me… more than you even know.
