Last week I posted this quote on my Facebook page.
When one door closes another opens. But often we look so long so regretfully upon the closed door that we fail to see the one that has opened for us. Helen Keller
Ironic how, at the time, it in no way, shape or form applied to me. I just liked it. I saw the truth in it. I wanted to share it with others because of the profoundness of it.
Little did I know, just five days later, the quote would be just for me.
Yesterday, a door closed for me. I have a myriad of emotions running through me from happy to sad, terrified to excited and everything in between. I know that I’m going to continue having a roller coaster of a ride for quite some time, but the moment that the decision was made, I thought of this quote.
And I am bound and determined not to focus on the closed door, but rather, to be alert and aware of the doors that are going to be opening around me.
Until next time…

Hang in there and just trust God.
You’ll be fine – in the meantime? I’m thinking about you and praying for you! Miss talking with you!
That quote and the one attributed to Mother Teresa (“I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle; I just wish He didn’t trust me so much.”) are both on my refrigerator and in my wallet, and have carried me through some of my darkest moments in the past five years.
You’re in my thoughts.
I haven’t kept up with Facebook… and I am in the dark here! Hang in there… thinking of you and praying for you.
