As if you care…
Ok, some of you do.
But I’m telling ya… some of the things that my kids do absolutely, positively, tee-totally, FLOOR me.
So Thing 2 tried out for All County Choir.
And I got the call today.
She made it.
If you’ve been around for two or more years (and I’m sure that eliminated 90% of you) you’ll remember that Thing 1?
Also auditioned for All County Choir.
Additionally?
He made it.
And I was a little worried about Thing 1′s audition and not so much about Thing 2… not because I didn’t think she was good enough… (ok, so maybe I was.) but more because if she doesn’t get picked for things, she doesn’t really care all that much….
She is more like a duck when it comes to letting things roll of her backside than Thing 1.
But she made it.
And so…
I now have two children who have been in the All County Choir… which, is basically the top five 5th grade singers from each school in the county, thrust on stage together for one night only to sing for their parents.
God bless those music teachers…especially since this year? There’s some foreign words…
So for the next two weeks, I get to take her to school early for rehersal…
And in the evenings, I get to listen to her practice.
And on March 18th….
I’ll get to go see a few good 5th graders….singing their little hearts out. The creme de la creme of Roanoke County Fifth Graders…
Ok, back to whatever it was you were doing that I’m sure is 15x more important than the news that I just shared with you…
Until next time…

Congratulations to Thing 1 and Thing 2!
I know they could do it, I just simply knew!
A hug from dear mom,
a high-five from ‘the boy’

they’ll get a new toy!
